No person reads your conversations with The Creature.

Applies to The Creature

God commanded believers not to spy on one another. A person’s private affairs are not subject to examination without cause, and suspicion alone is not a justification to look.

In keeping with this principle, no person employed by or affiliated with The Creature reads your conversations in the ordinary course of operating the service. This includes the individuals who built and maintain it.

This policy lists the limited circumstances in which a conversation may be reviewed by a person. If a circumstance is not listed, it does not occur.

No person reads your conversations.

Any exception is listed in this policy.

Your data is never sold.

Article I · Who processes your data

Automated processing, and the providers involved.

Messages are processed automatically to generate a response. OpenAI is used to produce the reply; your message and the retrieved Quranic material are sent to OpenAI for this purpose. Under OpenAI’s business terms, this content is not used to train their models, and it is not used to train any model operated by The Creature. Supabase provides the database and account system. Vercel hosts the website. Each of these providers may store data outside your country and is contractually restricted to processing it only on instruction from The Creature.

Outside these automated processes, no person accesses or reviews stored conversations, except as described in Article III.

Article II · Information we collect

The data held, and why.

The Creature does not use analytics services, advertising networks, third-party trackers, or cookies that track you across other websites.

Your conversations
Conversations are stored so that you can return to them, and are retained until you delete them. Deleting a conversation removes it permanently. A response which you choose to flag for quality review is stored as described in Article III.
Your account, if you create one
An email address and a password. The password is stored in a form that cannot be read, including by The Creature. An account is optional and is not required to use the service. Although, it grants you control over what conversations to save or delete.
Public links, if you create one
Sharing a conversation publishes a copy of it accessible to anyone with the link. This is a deliberate action you take. Messages sent after sharing are not included, and you can revoke the link at any time.

Article III · When conversations may be reviewed

Defined exceptions only.

The following are the only circumstances in which a person may review your conversations. Each is limited to what is necessary to address the matter concerned.

  1. Suspected attacks on the service

    Applies whenThere is evidence of an intrusion attempt, an attempt to bypass authentication, unauthorised access to another user’s data, or an attempt to disrupt the service.

    Scope of reviewLimited to the specific requests involved in the suspected attack and related technical records. Does not extend to the account’s other conversations, or to any other user’s data.

  2. Misuse of the service

    Applies whenThere are indications that the service is being used to obtain access to the underlying AI model for unrelated purposes, such as software development, or to resell access to the service.

    Scope of reviewLimited to the requests needed to establish whether misuse is occurring. Access ends once this has been established.

  3. Suspected automated use

    Applies whenPatterns indicate that requests are being generated by a bot, script, or automated account registration rather than an individual user.

    Scope of reviewAssessed first using technical indicators, such as request timing and volume. Conversation content is reviewed only if these indicators are inconclusive.

  4. User-submitted reports

    Applies whenYou report a response, submit a support request, or otherwise refer a specific conversation for review.

    Scope of reviewLimited to the conversation submitted. Submitting one report does not extend to review of your other conversations.

  5. Quality review of responses

    Applies whenAn automated check flags a response as potentially inaccurate or outside the service’s intended scope, for review to correct the underlying issue.

    Scope of reviewLimited to the question and response under review. Identifying information, including account details, is removed before this review takes place.

  6. Legal obligations

    Applies whenThe Creature is subject to a valid legal request from a competent authority.

    Scope of reviewLimited to what is legally required. Requests considered unlawful or excessive will be challenged. Where legally permitted, the user will be informed God willing.

The following principles apply to all of the above

  • Data minimisation. Any review is limited to what is necessary to address the specific matter: the relevant exchange rather than the full conversation, and the relevant conversation rather than the account’s full history.
  • No review without cause. Conversations are not reviewed based on their subject matter, including religious doubt, personal disclosures, or disagreement with a response.
  • No commercial use. None of these exceptions permit access for profiling, marketing, or training AI models.

Article IV · Commitments

Practices The Creature does not engage in.

The following practices are not part of how The Creature operates. Introducing any of them would require a revision to this policy, with an updated effective date.

  • Conversations are not sold, rented, or shared for commercial purposes.
  • No advertising is served, and conversation content is not used for ad targeting.
  • No profile is created based on a user’s beliefs, practices, or personal disclosures.
  • Conversations are not used to train AI models, by The Creature or by its service providers.
  • Aggregate usage statistics, such as the total number of questions asked or which verses are cited most often, may be reviewed. Individual conversations are not read for this purpose.
  • Users are not reported to third parties, including government bodies, employers, or religious institutions, based on the content of their beliefs.

Outside of the strict circumstances described in this policy, your conversations with The Creature are never reviewed by any person.
